I had so much fun making this primitive whimsical cat. Tabitha is made from painted and primmed muslin and has a sculpted nose and stitched mouth. She's wearing a pumpkin-colored moon print dress with a black homespun slip and dyed cheesecloth apron attached with a rusty safety pin. She's wearing her witchy hat over one ear. I also added lots of whiskers and laced up her boots.
Tabitha in holding onto her catch of the day - a wee little mouse which I made from cotton batting. I really don't think Tabitha is going to hurt him ~ just bring him out where he can safely play in the field. She is also holding onto banner I made with tiny check flannel. I embroidered "Hallow's End" onto a piece of flour sack material and stitched it on.
Tabitha is approximately 25" tall and was made using a pattern from Raven's Haven.
Tabitha will make a wonderful addition to your Halloween and/or cat collections. She will come to your home signed and dated from Ragpatch Primitives ~ Joyce

Jack is surely enjoying the fall weather. It looks like he is selling pumpkins so he can buy more lollipops. He really likes the orange and licorice pops.
Jack is made from painted and primmed muslin. He has a full round head with a real pumpkin stem. His eyes are antique shoe buttons. I stitched his mouth and stitched on a piece of wool for his nose. Jack is wearing jeans with a tan ticking shirt. His scarf is a piece of prim burlap. I made the lollipop and attached it to a cinnamon stick. In his other hand he has a basket filled with mini pumpkins and a little handmade sign ~ "pumpkins for sale - 2 cents". Jack is approximately 16" to the tip of his stem.
Jack is OOAK and will come to your home signed and dated from Ragpatch Primitives. Please email me if you have any questions ~ Joyce

Thanks for stopping by to visit me. Hi, my name is "Victoria", last name
"Vulture". I know from that look and what you're thinking, "who does she think
she is with her fancy feathers and name"?

Actually, once you get to know me I'm really a lovely person. Unfortunately, we always get a bad rap and everyone talks down to us. You know my mother always says, if you look the part and have a nice personality, people will like you for what you are and not what you do.
So I really did spend time having my feathers preamed just right, and wearing my new dress and special jewelry, so I hope you like my new look. By the way, lets do lunch - I know a great spot on Highway 40, East of Asheville N.C.
Victoria is a new design, made from paperclay and muslin and stands approximately 18" high. She is securely attached to a wooden stand, painted black and antiqued. She has antique shoe button eyes, long sculpted wings and black neck feathers.
Victoria is wearing a beautiful moon and stars print dress. Around her neck I made her a necklace with a tooth and wooden beads. She is OOAK and will come to your home signed and dated from Ragpatch Primitives.
